Vindhyachal Academy, MPYS to hold seminar

The teenagers will be told about the harmful consequences of the Blue Whale Challenge. Vindhyachal Academy, Bhopal, in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh Yuva Sansad, a youth NGO, is organising an awareness campaign on Saturday about the latest craze on internet, ‘Blue Whale Challenge.’

There has been a sharp upsurge in the sad incidents of Blue Whale Challenge, which are being reported across the world and the State where apparently ‘young gamers’ are being brainwashed and spurred into killing themselves. With given 50 creepy tasks, the gamer is asked to commit suicide on the last task.

Aishwarya Dwivedi, Joint Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Yuva Sansad, said, “We got request from a school to address the students on this issue after a teacher overheard a conversation of students influenced with blue whale dare and that is how we thought of conducting this seminar.

Through this seminar, we will tell them about how blue whale dare is an online crime and how they can save themselves from it.”

She further said, “Madhya Pradesh Yuva Sansad has taken an initiative to aware and sensitise youngsters against this online threat and shall be taking seminars in schools which shall begin on Saturday, where students of secondary and senior secondary classes of Vindhyachal Academy, Kolar Road will be addressed.’

After the awareness seminar an interactive session will also be held at the school premises.
Aishwarya says that it is to be known that Madhya Pradesh Yuva Sansad strives to address current and prevalent issues and malice that concern the society and constantly work for spreading socio-political awareness..
